You can simply call us for any questions or you can navigate through this website where you will find useful information that will help you to better understand how to keep your business in compliance.

WHAT IS A DOT NUMBER?

The USDOT Number serves as a unique identifier that is assigned to trucking companies and operators, the department of transportation using this number to collect and monitor a company's safety information acquired during audits, compliance reviews, crash investigations, and inspections. Once you open your New DOT number to keep your DOT compliance you must file MCS-150 Biennial update.

It is the responsibility of motor carrier operators and drivers to know and comply with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Safety compliance and safe operations translate into saved lives and protected property.

If you don’t update your MCS-150 form, your USDOT number will be deactivated and you could be faced with a $1,000 fee per day up to $10,000. Note: You will be charged this fee even if none of your business information has changed within the past two years. The FMCSA commonly deactivates USDOT numbers that do not do the update, which can cause you to be placed out of service, forcing your trucks to be parked.

All carrier vehicles that weigh more than a certain amount, carry specific amounts of paying passengers, or operate between state lines require DOT numbers. In most U.S. states, local DOT requirements also apply.
