HOW TO GET A DOT NUMBER
Getting started
1. Determine if you need a USDOT number, if you not sure if you need one, please visit our What is a DOT number page on the left menu bar.

2. what do you need to apply for new DOT number? Documentation, you will need to enter a lot of information about your business information, Please review the following list below and make the information available before starting your application:

Company operation (legal name/dba, physical address, mailing address, ownership).

Operation Classification.

Cargo Classification.
-
HazMat Classification (if applicable).

Number of Vehicles.

Type of Vehicles.

Ownership of Vehicles (own, term lease, trip lease).

Driver Status (intrastate, interstate, total drivers, total CDL drivers).

3. Once you have all of the above information you may click on the New DOT number button and start your application.

4. Our agent will review your application and verify the information is correctly submitted, Please note that we may reach out to you via phone or email to verify information about your business so make sure you provide us with one that is most accessible to you.

5. Your application will be processed and once approved by the FMCSA we will email you a confirmation that your DOT is active.
